The Silicon Labs EFR32FG28 SoC, available now from Braemac, is a groundbreaking dual-band sub-GHz +2.4GHz Bluetooth LE solution intended for a wide range of IoT and connected applications, including smart homes, security systems, lighting controls, building automation, metering devices, and more.

This innovative SoC merges a robust sub-GHz radio with a Bluetooth radio for extended range capabilities and unparalleled design flexibility. With its single-die, multi-core architecture, the device supplies top-tier security features, ultra-low power consumption with swift wake-up times, and integrated PA.

The device paves the way for advanced, secure connectivity in IoT ecosystems. Its expansive memory footprint enables adaptable solutions for Dynamic Protocol support, while including a Matrix Vector Processor empowers seamless integration of AI/ML algorithms for intelligent end-node devices.

The device offers a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M33 core with 78MHz maximum operating frequency, 1024kB of flash, and up to 256kB of RAM. Its energy-efficient radio core has low active and sleep currents. Suited to integrated PAs with up to 20dBm for sub-GHz and 10dBm for BLE transmit power. It has a robust peripheral set and up to 49 GPIO and is available in QFN48 and QFN68 package options.
