Low-loss AEC-Q200-grade power inductors for high-frequency applications

23-03-2016 | Coilcraft Europe | Passives

Offering lower inductance values and fully optimized for high-frequency applications, Coilcraft has introduced the XEL40xx Series of low-loss power inductors. The devices also offer extremely low DCR (as low as 2.5mohm) and ultra-low AC losses, resulting in the highest efficiency across a range of frequencies (2 to 5+ MHz). They are offered with current ratings as high as 28.5A, and their soft saturation characteristics can withstand high current spikes. The inductors measure just 4mm square with maximum heights as low as 1.2mm, making them ideal for IoT and portable device applications. They feature RoHS compliant tin-silver over copper terminations and are halogen free. The XEL4014 and XEL4020 models are qualified to AEC-Q200 Grade 1 standards (-40C to +125C ambient), making them suitable for automotive and other harsh-environment applications.
