Small package AEC-Q200 compliant automotive-grade thick film resistors now available

18-07-2025 | Bourns | Passives

Bourns, Inc. has announced its AEC-Q200-compliant, automotive-grade CR01005A-AS Series Thick Film Resistors. An extension to its CR-A-AS Series, these new resistors feature an extremely small package size (0.4mm x 0.2mm x 0.13mm) and have a sulfur-resistant design (ASTM B-809). The series’ improved resistance to corrosion-related failures significantly enhances system stability, reliability, performance, and robustness, while also minimising potential downtime.

The features and ultra-compact package offered in the series allow customers to further miniaturise their electronic designs without compromising performance or reliability. It also provides for greater component density on PCBs, freeing up board space for additional functionality or to reduce overall device size. Other features include a resistance range from 1Ω to 1MΩ, a resistance tolerance from 1% to 5% and a minimum TCR of ±200ppm/C. The features designed into the series make it ideal for applications needing miniaturisation, high reliability, and the ability to operate in harsh environments, such as those found in various transportation industry applications, wearable devices, smartwatches, fitness trackers, and smartphones.

The CR01005A-AS Series is now available and is RoHS compliant and halogen-free.
