Specifically designed for non-life support medical applications that require EN/UL 60601-1 safety standards, Power Sources Unlimited (PSU) has announced the new PM202 Series of compact 200W AC/DC power supplies.
The single-output PM202 Series are PCB constructed with a U-bracket for mechanical support and heat sinking. The compact (3 x 5 x 1.5 inch) package deliveries 200W of continuous power with 5.3 CFM forced air cooling or 150W with convection cooling.
Output voltages range from 12VDC to 48VDC, units have a universal input range of 100–240VAC with active PFC and have efficiencies greater than 87%. Additional features include over-voltage and short circuit protection, leakage current of <220µA maximum at 264VAC and an operating temperature range from 0 to +70°C. Units have an MTBF of 300,000 hours at full load at 25C ambient calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. Optional cover-and-fan assembly can be added during manufacturing to achieve 200W output.
The PM202 EMC performance meets EN55011/55022 and FCC Class B standards and are also certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA 60950-1 making them ideal for a variety of ITE applications including data networking, computer and telecommunication.
