Available now from Mouser stock, Schurter's MSM LA CS robust pushbutton
switches feature a secure latching action. The biocompatible On/Off metal
switches can be backlit across the entire surface, making them visually
attractive and extremely durable. They are particularly suitable for use in
equipment operating in harsh environments, in applications that require
protection against vandalism, or in hypoallergenic environments such as the
medical sector. Typical areas include industrial machinery, medical
equipment, vending machines and public transport HMIs.
The MSM LA CS On/Off switch is equipped with a stainless steel housing and
an actuator made of durable ceramic. The material resists scratches and
abrasive chemicals as well as impact. The non-illuminated version of the MSM
LA CS and MSM CS switches are offered with a white actuator surface.
The pushbutton switch is available with mounting diameters of 19mm and 22mm.
The 1- or 2-pole switch has a high impact withstand rating of IK07 and is
rated IP64 from the front to the contact area. Switching voltage is
250VAC/125VDC with switching current up to 12A.
