Silicon Labs CSP Package EFM32 Wonder Gecko 32-bit MCUs are now available
from Mouser. The devices are based on the ARM Cortex-M4 core, which
provides a full DSP instruction set and includes a hardware floating point
unit (FPU) for faster computation performance.
Wonder Gecko MCUs feature up to 256kB of flash memory, 32kB of RAM and CPU
speeds up to 48MHz. The CSP packages offer the world's most energy friendly
MCU in 60% smaller packaging that enables a breakthrough in industrial
design for small portable devices. Within portable devices, the electronics
and battery often dictates the physical size of the industrial design, and
these new products help with both aspects, says the company.
Applications include gas / energy / smart metering, alarm and security
systems, health and fitness, industrial and home automation systems.
