Rohm's BD14000EFV-C self-contained cell balancing IC is now available from Digi-Key. The device utilizes a shunt resistor method for EDLC cell balancing. All necessary functions are integrated on a single chip, facilitating design while contributing to further miniaturization in systems such as EVs, HEVs, and stop-start-equipped vehicles, regenerative energy-storage systems for industrial machinery and construction equipment, and power stabilization devices such as uninterruptable power supplies.
