Delivering an accurate, constant current for MR16 and similar LED lamps,
Mouser now stocks the Diodes Incorporated AL8821 boost LED driver.
A proprietary control scheme ensures the LED driver is compatible with many
commonly used electronic transformers. Also, it provides designs with a high
power factor (PF) of >0.9 and low total harmonic distortion (THD) of <30%.
The design allows the use of a small size inductor with an operation
frequency up to 1MHz. Available in the of SO-8EP package, the AL8821 offers
small thermal resistance, and can be used for a wide range of output power.
Applications include non-dimmable MR16 lamps, dimmable MR16 lamps and
general illumination lamps.
