Single-channel synchronous buck converter generates wide range of output voltages

Rohm's BD95835EFJ synchronous buck converter is now available from Mouser. It is a single- channel synchronous buck converter that can generate a wide range of output voltages at the input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V. A space-saving and high-efficiency switching regulator can be achieved due to the built-in N-Channel MOSFET power transistors. The IC also incorporates constant ON TIME control mode which facilitates ultra-high transient response against changes in load. Variable soft start function, short-circuit protection and over-voltage protection are also incorporated into the device. The BD95835EFJ is designed for power supplies designed for digital AV equipment such as LCD TVs, set top boxes, DVD/Blu-ray players / recorders, broadband network and communication interfaces.
