High-current shunt resistor range goes to 5mohm in both the 2512 and the 3920 chip sizes

29-04-2015 | Stackpole | Passives

Stackpole has announced the expansion of its popular surface-mount HCS Series high-current shunt resistor with up to 5mohm in both the 2512 and the 3920 chip sizes. This allows the use of the HCS for an even wider range of applications where the HCS's low thermal resistance and self-heating are important. The HCS Series will typically run 15C to 20C cooler than a comparable flat chip type. In addition, the HCS Series has high pulse and short time overload performance. It also offers long-term stability and reliability with typical resistance shifts of less than +/-1%.
