Handy switcher simplifies low power CV/CC charger design for portables

18-05-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Power

Now in stock at Mouser, Power Integrations' LinkSwitch-4 CV/CC switcher simplifies low power CV/CC charger design by eliminating an optocoupler and secondary control circuitry. The LinkSwitch-4 uses adaptive BJT drive technology to boost switching performance and efficiency. It also delivers a wider reverse bias safe operating area (RBSOA) margin and can accommodate a wide range of low cost bipolar junction transistors (BJT). Linkswitch-4 incorporates a multi-mode PWM/PFM controller with quasi resonant switching to maximize efficiency, meet <30mW no load, and maintain fast transient response greater than 4.3V with a load change from 0-100%.
