Face-recognition module uses a UART interface to provide data

09-06-2015 | Digikey | Design & Manufacture

Available now from Digi-Key, Omron human vision components (HVC) module features Omron's best in class image sensing technology (OKAO Vision) along with a camera, processor, and external interface onto a single PCB, sized at 60mm x 40mm - this results is an image sensor 'unlike anything else on the market', says the company. The HVC effectively acts like a sensor and uses a UART interface to provide data about the person or people that it sees. Capturing such data can benefit numerous applications where people are interacting with machines.
