Precision sensor modules designed for altimeters and variometers

Measurement Specialties' MS5607-02BA barometric pressure sensors are now stocked by Mouser. The precision sensor modules are designed for altimeters and variometers with an altitude resolution of 20cm. A high-resolution temperature function lets the user implement an altimeter / thermometer format without an additional sensor. MS5607-02BA sensor modules include a high linearity pressure sensor and an ultra low power 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with internal factory-calibrated coefficients. The sensors provide a precise digital 24-bit pressure and temperature value and different operation modes that allow the user to optimize for conversion speed and current consumption. MSI MS5607-02BA can be interfaced to most microcontrollers. The sensor's small dimensions of just 5mm x 3mm x 1mm allow for integration in mobile devices, mobile altimeter / barometer systems, bicycle computers, variometers, dataloggers and mobile phones / GPS devices.
