Soft termination capacitors feature a resin external electrode to relieve mechanical stress

18-06-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Passives

Available now from Mouser stock, Murata GRJ Series soft termination capacitors feature a resin external electrode that relieves the mechanical stress on the ceramic element. The capacitors are designed with an advanced conductive polymer layer, which provides elasticity in the terminations to absorb mechanical stress that sometimes occurs during manufacturing, installation, or through general product use. The addition of the flexible polymer layer does not affect the equivalent series resistance (ESR) or current rating. The GRJ Series is ideal for consumer and industrial electronic equipment where heat stress, vibration and impact are applied such as diode-snubber circuits for switching power supplies, primary-secondary coupling for DC-DC converters, and line filters and ringer detectors for telephones, facsimiles and modems.
