Mouser now stocks Rohm's BH1745NUC digital colour sensor IC with I2C bus
interface. The IC senses red, green and blue light (RGB) and converts them
to digital values. It has a high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and
'excellent' ir-cut characteristics. This makes it ideal for obtaining
illuminance and colour temperature of ambient light for adjusting TV LCD
backlights, mobile phones and tablet PCs. The device makes it possible to
detect a very wide light intensity range, says the company.
