16-07-2015 | Digikey | Design & Manufacture

Digi-Key now stocks PUI Audio's new SMT-0440 surface-mount transducer which is 20% smaller than its predecessor allowing designers to add sound to even smaller devices. Both the side-firing SMT-0440-S-R and the top-firing SMT-0440-T-R feature overall dimensions of 4mm wide, by 4mm deep by 2mm high to accommodate even the tightest, most crowded PCBs. Built to be powered by a 2 to 4V0-p square wave, each device is capable of producing a 70dB, 4kHz tone (measured at 10 cm) while consuming no more than 90mA. Applications include medical, consumer electronics, handheld devices, home automation, point of sale / purchase and security products.
