Multichannel inductance-to-digital converters offer up to 28-bit resolution

30-07-2015 | Farnell element14 | Semiconductors

Texas Instruments' multichannel inductance-to-digital converters (LDCs) are now available from Farnell element14. The four new devices - the LDC1312, LDC1314, LDC1612 and LDC1614 - offer two or four matched channels and up to 28-bit resolution in a single integrated circuit (IC). Features include multiple well-matched channels, precision measurement capability (up to 28-bit resolution), sensor frequency range 1kHz to 10MHz, low system power (6.9mW during standard operation - 0.12mW in shutdown mode), and contactless sensing immune to nonconductive contaminants.
