Near field communications controllers support various transmission modes

Mouser now stocks NXP's PN7120 NFC controllers which support various transmission modes, and include an ARM Cortex-M0 MCU with integrated firmware supporting the NCI 1.0 host communication. The PN7120 features full NFC forum compliancy with small form factor antenna, ultra-low power consumption in polling loop mode, and a highly efficient integrated power management unit (PMU) which allows direct supply from a battery. Applications include devices requiring NFC functionality especially those running in an Android or Linux environment, TVs, set-top boxes, Blu-ray decoders, audio devices, home automation, gateways, wireless routers, home appliances, wearables, remote controls, healthcare, fitness, printers, IP phones, gaming consoles and accessories. Also avaiable, the NXP OM5577 NFC controller development board contains a PN7120 NFC controller board, and interface boards for Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone boards. It also contains an NFC forum type 2 tag in the form of a MIFARE UL Card.
