Quasi-resonant controller for products that include an electrical outlet

21-07-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Power

Available now from Mouser, Rohm's BD768xFJ is an AC/DC quasi-resonant controller type DC-DC converter that provides an optimum system for all products that include an electrical outlet. The device targets applications such as industrial equipment, AC adapters and household appliances. The quasi-resonant operation enables soft switching and helps to keep EMI low. A high degree of flexibility is achieved with switching MOSFETs and current detection resistors as external devices. The built-in brown out function monitors the input voltage as part of system optimization. A burst mode function reduces input power at low power. The BD768xFJ series include various protection functions including soft-start, per-cycle over-current limiter, overvoltage protection, overload protection, and brown-out function. It include a gate-clamp circuit for optimal driving SIC-MOSFET.
