Inline temperature sensor for automotive and industrial applications

17-08-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Test & Measurement

Suitable for various automotive and industrial applications, Amphenol's inline flow-through coolant temperature sensor (CTS) is now stocked by Mouser. In automotive applications for example, the device monitors the temperature of the coolant that is pumped around the engine block to cool the engine. The purpose of the CTS is to notify the vehicle's driver if the engine starts to overheat. The device will relay an over-temperature engine temperature to the driver so the vehicle can be stopped and the engine switched off before permanent damage is done. The sensor features high sensitivity, fast response time, and a wide application range. Other applications include battery-pack coolant line temperature, process flow measurement, HVAC water management and diverse appliance sensor requirements.
