Space qualified highly-reliable resistors from proven thin-film technology

TTI Europe now stocks PHR series and TNPS series space-qualified resistors from Vishay. The devices benefit from very high reliability and proven thin-film technology. The PHR series thin-film wrap around resistors are space level ESA qualified according to ESCC4001/023 and offer a wide operating temperature range from -55C up to +155C. Available in various case sizes from 0402 up to 2010, the parts feature a wide ohmic range from 10ohm up to 3Mohm (depending on size), a tight tolerance down to 0.01%, and a tight temperature coefficient down to 5 ppm/C. Load life stability is 0.15 % after 2000h at 70C at nominal power (0.02% typical). The devices are ideal for use in aerospace, avionics and defence applications. Highly-reliable TNPS series thin film chip resistors are ESA approved to ESCC 4001/029 and benefit from SnPb termination plating, minimum 6% Pb. Technical details include a wide operating temperature range from -55C up to +125C, a wide ohmic range from 10ohm up to 1Mohm (depending on size), and a tight tolerance down to 0.1%. The components are regularly used in communication and research satellites and fit equally well into aircraft and electronic defence systems.
