Thermoelectric modules feature high thermal cycling capability

01-09-2015 | Digikey | Subs & Systems

Laird Technologies' PowerCycling Series thermoelectric modules are now available from Digi-Key. They are designed for thermal cycling between multiple temperature set points and are ideal for applications in healthcare and others where fast temperature changes are required, says the company. The module is specially constructed to reduce the amount of stress induced on the TE elements during operation. This product line has been tested to withstand 500K cycles without degradation in performance. The modules are assembled using bismuth telluride semiconductor material and thermally-conductive aluminium oxide ceramics. Applications include molecular / clinical diagnostics, analytical instrumentation, electronic enclosure cooling and chillers (liquid cooling).
