Board-mount silicon pressure sensors produce proportional electrical output

12-10-2015 | Digikey | Test & Measurement

Honeywell Sensing and Control's silicon pressure sensors are now available from Digi-Key as part of a comprehensive selection of devices. The sensors contain sensing elements that consist of four piezoresistors buried in the face of a thin, chemically-etched silicon diaphragm that produce a proportional electrical output. The sensors are small and reliable, and feature high repeatability and reliability under varying environmental conditions. Products range from those with industry-leading long-term stability, total error band, accuracy and flexibility with high burst pressures and working pressure ranges to simple, cost-effective, basic performance solutions for potential industrial and medical applications where high performance, stability, and accuracy are not as critical.
