Hirose's wide selection of interconnects for use in various robotics applications, including industrial, service, assistive robots, and drones, is now available from Digi-Key. Service robots are commonly used for cleaning and other household chores, serving food and drinks to people, in scientific laboratories, and to perform tasks in harsh environments such as space or extremely cold areas. Assistive robotics help the disabled to perform tasks or movements such as walking or using a limb, and they can also act as a service robot. Remote controlled drones can be used to transport small items through the air and for aerial surveillance and photography. Hirose's connectors for robotics include board-to-board, wire-to-board, coaxial, FPC/FFC, in-line and interface connectors. Industrial applications include factory automation applications include handling, welding, assembly, dispensing, and other functions.
