Module provides rapid path to developing FPGA-based designs

08-10-2015 | Mouser Electronics | Design & Manufacture

A compact prototyping tool used for rapid proof of concept or educational environments, the low-cost DLP Design DLP-HS-FPGA USB FPGA module is now available from Mouser stock. It is based on the Xilinx Spartan 3A and Future Technology Devices International's FT2232H dual-channel high-speed USB IC. The DLP-HS-FPGA provides a rapid path to developing FPGA-based designs. It allows users to create anything from basic logical functions to a highly-complex system controller by combining with free ISE WebPACK tools from Xilinx. One channel of the dual-channel USB interface is used to load user bit files directly to the SPI Flash with no external programmer required and no additional programming cable is required for configuring the FPGA.
