Texas Instruments' TPS92513/HV Step-Down Buck LED Drivers are now available
from Mouser stock. The 1.5A step-down (buck) current regulators integrate a
MOSFET to drive high-current LEDs and are available with 42V and 60V (HV)
input ranges.
The LED drivers operate at a user-selected fixed-frequency with peak-current
mode control. This allows them to deliver high line and load regulation.
They feature separate inputs for analog and pulse width modulation (PWM)
dimming for no compromise brightness control. This helps them achieve
contrast ratios of greater than 10:1 and greater than 100:1, respectively.
The PWM input is compatible with low-voltage logic standards for easy
interface to a broad range of microcontrollers, says the company.
Also available, the TPS92513EVM-001 evaluation module (EVM) is designed to
help users evaluate the TPS92513 LED Driver. It is compact and designed to
accept an input voltage range of 6V to 24V and can drive high current LED
stacks at up to 1A.
