National Instruments' VirtualBench all-in-one instrument combines five instruments into one device that seamlessly integrates with PCs and iPads. Available now from Mouser, the VirtualBench includes a mixed-signal oscilloscope with protocol analysis, a function generator, Digital I/O, a programmable DC power supply, and digital multimeter. The VirtualBench software allows the user to interact with the VirtualBench instruments, save data or screenshots, save configurations, and integrates tightly with LabVIEW software to allow for programmatic control. When the VirtualBench is connected to a PC, software is automatically loaded with Windows AutoPlay, and no prior driver installation is required. The VirtualBench takes up only 10 x 7.5 x 2.9 inches of bench space and is easily portable with an optional carrying case. All the instruments of the VirtualBench are consolidated onto one screen and can be interacted with using the mouse or with multitouch gestures. VirtualBench can connect with the display via an existing WiFi network, or to a network hosted by VirtualBench.
