Bluetooth Smart module allows designers to embed mobile apps in their devices

Now available from Digi-Key, Digital's Simblee makes it possible for device developers to embed mobile apps in the devices themselves, passing interface information over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to a generic framework. Like RFduino, Simblee can be programmed using Arduino IDE or the Sublime editor. Simblee extends the sketch format used by RFduino by also including mobile app generation on the same page, allowing one convenient programming environment for both hardware and software development.
