Helping designers evaluate the PSoC 4 family of devices for motor-control
applications, the Cypress CY8CKIT-037 PSoC 4 Motor Control Evaluation Kit is
now available from Mouser stock. The kit enables designers to create
control solutions for BLDC (brushLess direct current), PMSM (permanent
magnetic synchronous motors), and stepper motors.
The Cypress PSoC family of devices integrates many internal resources for
motor control applications, including Timer Counter Pulse Width Modulator
(TCPWM), SAR-ADC, comparators, operational amplifiers, and universal digital
blocks (UDBs). An ARM Cortex core provides high-performance motor control
solutions on PSoC devices. The headers on the EVK board allow designers to
connect it to the CY8CKIT-042 PSoC 4 Pioneer Kit board to create a complete
motor control system.
