Near-field communication transceiver IC manages many functions

05-01-2016 | Mouser Electronics | Semiconductors

Mouser now stocks the STMicroelectronics ST95HF, a near-field communication transceiver IC that manages frame coding and decoding in reader, card emulation and peer-to-peer modes. The ST95HF is used for standard applications like near-field communication (NFC), proximity and vicinity standards. It embeds an analog front end (AFE) to provide the 13.56MHz Air Interface. It supports ISO/IEC 14443 Type A and B communication in Reader and Card Emulation modes. The ST95HF supports ISO/IEC 15693 (single or double subcarrier in Reader mode only) and ISO/IEC 18092 protocols in Reader and Card Emulation modes. It also supports the detection, reading and writing of NFC Forum Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 tags.
