Programmable USB Type-C controller provides the software flexibility for multiple platforms

Providing the software flexibility for multiple platforms support through I²C programmability, a hardware thin-client solution supporting the implementation of a DRP/DFP/UFP USB Type-C control - Fairchild Semiconductor's FUSB300C is now available from RS Components. The USB Controller performs USB Type-C detection including attach and orientation. The FUSB300C automates VBUS threshold detection as well as the various charging current levels. Integrated is a VCONN power switch.
