NXP Semiconductors' high-power near field communication (NFC) front-end
PN5180 IC is now available from Mouser. The device implements the RF
functionality and all low-level functionality to realize an NFC
Forum-compliant reader.
The PN5180 ensures maximum interoperability for the next generation of NFC
enabled mobile phones. It is optimized for point of sales terminal
applications. The PN5180 supports the vicinity protocol according to ISO/IEC
15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-3 MODE 3. It implements a configurable temperature
sensor. It allows different supply voltages for NFC drivers, internal supply
and host interface providing flexibility.
Typical applications include payment terminals, physical-access readers,
eGov readers, industrial and other high-performance readers.
