Mouser now stocks the SHT31 Smart Gadget development kit from Sensirion. The
Smart Gadget is a reference design circuit board and development kit that
demonstrates the performance and ease-of-use of Sensirion’s SHT3x series
humidity and temperature sensors. The Smart Gadget shows relative humidity
and temperature values on the display, and can also communicate wirelessly
with a Bluetooth Smart capable device, such as a smartphone or tablet.
The Sensirion SHT31 Smart Gadget, available from Mouser Electronics, is a
reference design and development kit that helps developers to begin projects
with an environmental sensor, Bluetooth connectivity, and corresponding
apps. The Smart Gadget includes an onboard SHT31 humidity and temperature
sensor, LCD driver and display, and Bluetooth module. The LCD screen
displays relative humidity (±2 percent accuracy), dew point, and temperature
in Celsius (accurate to 0.3 degrees) or Fahrenheit (accurate to 0.5
degrees).
The Smart Gadget supports two debug interfaces as well as I2C and SPI
protocols. Developers can also take advantage of the device’s complete
hardware, firmware, and software resources. For further connectivity,
developers can use the available apps for both iOS and Android devices.
The Sensirion SHT3x series humidity and temperature sensors, also available
from Mouser Electronics, are based on Sensirion's patented CMOSens
technology, which combines the environmental sensor and processing
electronics on a single chip, resulting in higher system integration, as
well as accurate measurements with long term stability over the sensor's
operating conditions.
