Texas Instruments TPS62097 2A Synchronous Step-Down Converter is optimized
for high efficiency and noise critical applications. These devices focus on
high efficiency conversion over a wide output current range. At medium to
heavy loads, the converter operates in PWM mode and automatically enters
Power Save Mode operation at light load. The switching frequency is
selectable in the range of 1.5MHz to 2.5MHz by an external resistor.
iDCS-Control is able to be operated in forced PWM mode for low noise
operation with a fixed switching frequency. The device integrates short
circuit protection, power good and thermal shutdown features.
Typical applications include industrial systems, programmable logic
controllers (PLCs), Point-of-Load (POL) regulators and solid-state drives
(SSDs).
Also available from stock, the Texas Instruments TPS62097EVM-651 Evaluation
Module facilitates the evaluation of the TPS62097 2A, buck converter with
iDCS-Control, forced PWM mode, and selectable switching frequency.
