Keithley's 2268 Series of six 850W DC power supplies is now available from
Farnell element14. They extend the line by increasing the available maximum
power output and offer a compact form factor for high-density automated test
(ATE) rack applications.
The units are the only power supplies that offer over 760W (up to 850W in
some models) in a space-saving, 1U half-rack enclosure.
Unlike competing products, they also feature useful additional control
outputs, says the company. These include separate 15V and 5V outputs for
controlling relays and for interfacing with test fixtures and component
handlers, thereby eliminating the need for additional instruments in the
test system.
The Series 2268 supplies also have isolated analogue control lines, so that
when controlling the supply output with analogue signals, the isolated
analogue inputs minimise potential ground loops.
The range is aimed at the automotive, industrial products (control systems
etc) and defence / aerospace industries. The power supplies are particularly
well suited to test engineers designing automated test systems.
Key applications include: Production testing of modules and end products: PC
board test and adjustment test stations, Calibration test stations, Final
test stations and Performance verification to specifications. Reliability
testing in which bulk power is required to test a quantity of products at
one time: Environmental testing, Life testing (accelerated life testing,
stress screening), Burn-in.
