Mouser is now stocking the Analog Devices EVAL-ADN8834 series configurable
evaluation boards which feature the ADN8834 TEC controller. The boards are
designed to be used with various TEC modules and thermistors. The ADN8834
TEC Controller on the evaluation boards delivers and controls bidirectional
current through the TEC using two pairs of the complimentary integrated
MOSFETs in an H-bridge configuration.
The board's TEC cooling and heating current limits are set to 1.5A. The
maximum TEC voltage is programmed to be 3V using two on-board resistor
dividers. The temperature set-point circuit is optimized to work with the
10kohm NTC thermistor.
The PID compensation network components are included on board. Designers can
replace PID compensation network components by soldering different value
components. Designers can also modify the cooling and heating TEC current
limits and maximum TEC voltage setting by changing values of the
corresponding components, says the company.
