The Cypress EZ-BLE PRoC BT 4.2 evaluation board, available from Mouser, lets users develop and evaluate applications featuring the EZ-BLE PRoC BT 4.2 module. The Cypress Bluetooth module featured on the kit enables three key features of the 4.2 standard: Data length extension, privacy and enhanced security.
These Bluetooth 4.2 features are critical for Internet of Things applications. The module is drop-in compatible with Cypress 128KB / 256KB flash memory 4.1 modules.
To use the evaluation board, the user must use the CY8CKIT-002 Miniprog3 or the CY8CKIT-042-BLE BLE Pioneer kit.
