Hardware development kits are a complete IoT development solution

Particle Photon IoT hardware development kits are a complete IoT development solution with a powerful ARM Cortex M3 microcontroller with a Broadcom Wi-Fi chip. The microcontroller and Wi-Fi chip are housed in a tiny thumbnail-sized module called the PØ (P-zero). The Photon is based on Broadcom's WICED architecture and is ready to go with a 3.3VDC SMPS power supply. The Photon also has RF and interface components to the PØ on a small single-sided PCB. The Photon is open source and comes in two forms: with headers or without. The form with headers fits in a standard breadboard or perfboards. It can also be mounted with 0.1" pitch female headers on a PCB. The form without headers is surface mountable for machine assembly and has castellated edges to minimize space.
