The new FWM7BLZ20 smart module from Fujitsu is based on the Nordic Semiconductor 'world’s most powerful' Bluetooth v4.2 SoC 'the game changer' and comes with integrated antenna. The FWM7BLZ20-series offers all the features and advantages of a complete and certified module with strong antenna capabilities. There is no need to spend time and resources on certifications to get your application on the market, says the company. The module is designed to deal with a complexity of processes while using very little power; it achieves around half of the power consumption (about 5.4mA: actual measured value) and around double the transmission distance at a receiving sensitivity of -94dBm (actual measured value) in comparison to the already popular Bluetooth v4.1 modules Fujitsu has on the market. The embedded nRF52832 QFN-package SoC is designed around a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4F CPU with 512kB FLASH and 64kB RAM. The highly-compact device measures just 15.7mm x 9.8mm x 1.7mm (the same size as the MBH7BLZ02-series). The integrated 32MHz crystal oscillator and the 32.768kHz crystal oscillator deliver low power and great accuracy. The integration of both crystal oscillators leaves all 30 GPIO’s available for the development of diverse solutions.
