Mouser — Practical way to add Wi-Fi connectivity to a project

24-08-2016 | Mouser Electronics | Design & Manufacture

Stocked by Mouser, the Genuino MKR1000 board is a practical way to add Wi-Fi connectivity to a project with minimal experience in networking. The board is based on the Atmel ATSAMW25 SoC designed for IoT projects and devices. The board includes a Li-Po charging circuit to run on battery power or an external 5V source. The circuit allows for charging the Li-Po battery while running on external power and switches automatically from one source to the other. The USB port can be used to supply power (5V) to the board. The device features 32-bit computational power similar to the Zero board with a rich set of I/O interfaces. The board also features low power Wi-Fi with a Cryptochip for secure communication.
