Stocked by Mouser, Atmel ATA8520 Single-Chip SIGFOX RF transceivers are flexible solutions that operate in the 868MHz SIGFOX network and can be combined with any host microcontroller. The transceivers provide equipment for the Internet of Things (IoT) and other machine-to-machine communication using an air interface to the SIGFOX proprietary network. The devices incorporates an RF front end, a digital baseband and a microcontroller in a single chip. The single chip solution provides extreme low-power consumption of 32.7mA current at +14.5dBm output power and 5nA in Off mode current. The internal memory features firmware that supports the chip's operation including the SIGFOX protocol. The transceivers have a supply voltage range is 1.9V-3.6V. A serial peripheral interface provides external control and configuration. Typical industrial and consumer applications are for environmental sensors, smart meters, patient monitors, home automation and building security systems.
