TBF series force sensors from Honeywell and available from Farnell element14 are a cost-effective compensated/unamplified sensor solution with many options. A precisely controlled diaphragm height makes these products particularly useful in applications where a flexible membrane applies force to a sensor – such as infusion pumps. These sensors are internally unamplified to provide infinite resolution and the ability to leverage any algorithm required by making use of the maximum resolution of the bare sensor output. Sensors are internally temperature compensated and calibrated. The sensors are commonly used in a variety of medical applications, including advanced drug delivery systems, infusion pumps, kidney dialysis machines, robotics, syringe pumps and wearables.
