Current sensor suited as open loop current sensor for PCB or bus bar mounting

Melexis MLX91208 IMC-Hall current sensor, available from Mouser, is a monolithic sensor IC featuring Triaxis Hall technology. The IMC-Hall current sensor is sensitive to the flux density applied parallel to the IC surface. This is obtained through an integrated magneto-concentrator (IMC-Hall) which is deposited on the CMOS die as an additional back-end step. The sensor provides an output signal proportional to the flux density applied horizontally. The sensor is suitable for current measurement and is ideally suited as an open loop current sensor for PCB or bus bar mounting. The device features small size application design and a simple construction for various current ranges from few amperes up to 1000A.
