Honeywell MICRO SWITCH TL Series Toggle Switches are now available at Aerco. The switches are sealed to MIL-DTL-3950 standard and can be specified for indoor or outdoor applications subject to shock, vibration, dust, splashing or hose-directed water. Robust and durable, the switches suit defence, aerospace and other demanding environment applications where reliability is essential. They are available in a wide variety of circuitry and pole options.
These toggle switches feature a bonded seal between the toggle lever and brushing and between the cover and the case, ensuring environmental sealing and delivering a long operating life under extreme conditions. Operating temperature range is -65C to +71C. A number of operating actions are available in the TL Series, including two and three-position, maintained and momentary toggle action. In addition to standard or tab actuators, special designs can be specified. For extra safety and security and to avoid unintentional actuation, the TL Series is also available with optional lever locks (pull-to-unlock), so two separate actions are required to operate the switch.
Available in one, two and four-pole options, (SPST, SPDT, DPST, DPDT, 4PST, 4PDT), the series toggle switches meet a variety of circuitry requirements. With AC and DC capability and rated up to 20A, plus offering a choice of silver alloy or gold-plated contacts, the TL Series toggle switches also handle a variety of electrical load requirements, including low-voltage DC applications. Innovative step design cases provide additional space between terminals to prevent shorting. Popular termination options are available, including screw, solder lugs, quick-connect, leadwire and IWTS.
In addition to being constructed from defence-grade components, the series is UL-recognised, CSA certified and CE approved. Supplied to applications in defence and commercial aircraft and helicopters, the switches are also found in aviation ground support equipment, tracked and wheeled defence vehicles and construction equipment. Applications include switching on/off pumps and lights; movement control of lift platforms and ramps; control of road pavers, trenchers, stump cutters and many others.
