Available now from Mouser, the Microchip KSZ8864 four-port switches are highly-integrated, Layer two-managed switches with optimized design, plentiful features that are housed in small packages. The devices are designed for cost-sensitive 10/100Mbps 4-port switch systems with on-chip termination and low-power consumption to save system cost. The switches have a 1.4Gbps high-performance memory bandwidth, shared memory-based switch fabric with full non-blocking configuration. The devices provide an extensive feature set like the power management, programmable rate limiting and priority ratio. Other features include tag/port-based VLAN, packet filtering, quality-of-service, four queue prioritization, management interface and MIB counters.
