AC/DC medical power supplies. The VMS-300A series, available in industry standard 3” x 5” open frame and metal enclosed packages, delivers efficiencies up to 94% and high power densities up to 14.5W/in3. Meeting EN 60601-1 edition 3.1 safety standards and 4th edition EMC requirements, these single output, medical power supplies are designed for energy-conscious, 2 x MOPP hospital, home healthcare, and dental applications. The open frame VMS-300A and metal enclosed VMS-300A-CNF series carry UL/cUL and TUV 60601-1 safety marks while meeting EN 55022 Class B and FCC Class B limits for radiated emissions. The series features a wide universal input voltage range of 90VAC to 264VAC with output voltage options of 12, 24, 36, and 48VDC. All models also offer 4000VAC input-to-output isolation and 1500 VAC output-to-ground isolation. Additional features include power factor correction, remote voltage sense, a 5V standby, and remote on/off control as well as over voltage, over current, over temperature, and short circuit protections. The open frame version of the VMS-300A series measures 3” x 5” x 1.38” and provides an operating temperature range at full load from -40C up to +50C with forced air cooling, derating to 60% load at +70C. Dimensions for the metal enclosed package measure slightly larger at 3.46” x 5.35” x 1.59”, while carrying an operating temperature range at full load from -40C up to +60C with forced air cooling, derating to 60% load at +80C.
