Bulk power series offers up to 600W power from one module

Excelsys Technologies has released a new output module for its CoolX series of convection cooled modular configurable power supplies. The new CmE bulk power module offers up to 600W power from one module (using three slots). The addition of this module increases product and system flexibility while significantly decreasing total cost through reduced component count, simplifying configuration and system integration. “We have many applications where customers configure a number of outputs in parallel to provide high power outputs,” comments Dermot Flynn, Sales director of Excelsys Technologies. “We expect that the same will be the case with CoolX and have therefore developed the CmE CoolMod,” continues Flynn. “It is a 24V, 600W module and rather than having three isolated outputs to be connected, adjusted and set up to current share etc. customers will now have just one power connection point and a single connection for control etc. This new high-power module along with existing output modules allows customers to centralise all their power requirements in a one power supply, greatly simplifying system integration.” Typical applications include medical clinical diagnostic equipment, dialysis equipment, medical lasers, radiological imaging and clinical chemistry. Industrial test and measurement, automation equipment, industrial machines, printing, telecommunications, audio equipment and high reliability harsh industrial electronics, radar, communications, test and measurement.
