Jaro has introduced a new series of light-weight, open-fin IC coolers 71mm (L) x 52mm (W) x 11mm (H) that are ideal for low-profile applications. The JAC00057 features a low ‘noise to CFM’ ratio and is suitable for cooling BGA, graphic and embedded processors and other ICs including microprocessors, FPGAs, and DSPs. The unique open-finned design combines both natural and forced air convection while using a pre-applied phase change pad and universal mounts.
The cooler provides a life expectancy of 70,000 hours @ 40C. Thanks to the embedded ‘fan to sink’ design and added pushpins, the device reduces IC installation steps as well as saves space. The device is suitable for limited space applications including PCMCIA cards, PCI express cards and blade servers.
