Dual low-voltage rail-to-rail output op amps offer cost-effective solution

03-01-2018 | Texas Instruments | Power

The Texas Instruments LMV3xxA family includes dual - (LMV358A) low-voltage (2.5V to 5.5V) op amps with rail-to-rail output swing capabilities. These op amps provide a cost-effective option for space-constrained applications, such as smoke detectors, large appliances, and personal electronics, where high capacitive-load drive and low-voltage operation are required. The capacitive-load drive of the LMV3xxA family is 500pF, and the resistive open-loop output impedance makes it simple to stabilise with much higher capacitive loads. These op amps are created specifically for low-voltage operation (2.5V to 5.5V) with performance specifications comparable to the LMV3xx devices. The tough design of the family simplifies circuit design. They feature unity-gain stability, an integrated RFI and EMI rejection filter, and no-phase reversal in overdrive condition. The family is available in industry-standard packages, such as SOIC, MSOP, SOT-23 and TSSOP packages.
