Qualified SMT resettable PPTCs provide greater design flexibility

03-05-2018 | TTI Europe | Passives

Littelfuse is a major source of automotive SMD PPTCs. The devices are available now from TTI Europe. The new Surface Mount PPTCs offer a variety of form factors, operating currents, voltage ratings, and enable greater design flexibility. PolySwitch AEC-Q200 qualified resettable SMD PPTC devices do not require replacement after a fault event; they permit the circuit to return to the normal operating condition after the power has been removed and the overcurrent condition is eliminated. The devices feature a smaller footprint: 0805-size picoASMD Series and 0603-size femtoASMD Series. The device has a lower profile compared to the existing 2920-size ASMD Series. They are AEC-Q200 qualified, ISO/TS16949 certified.
